Et voila pour l ambiance new yorkaise:A part Brooklyn et les ambulances folles, les quelques 30 heures plutôt intenses passées a New York furent l occasion d arpenter les rues de la grosse pomme et de se rendre compte que l on pouvait egalement y rencontrer des gens ultra sympa et pas stressés, contrairement au cliché. Cette ville aux dimensions inhumaines nous a paru bien plus humaine au niveau de ses habitants cette fois ci. En plus de notre hôte Brooklynois vraiment cool, il y avait toujours des gens prêts a aider nos 2 pauvres français perdus dans l immensité et a leur donner 2 ou 3 conseils pour les bons plans. Après le dédale de rue bordeliques et colorées de Chinatown, le pont de Brooklyn et l East Village by night, le retour a bon port par metro ce soir là fut réellement épique rien que pour trouver le bon arrêt de metro, et ce fut un gros soulagement de retrouver notre couch pour quelques heures a Brooklyn.



Further than Brooklyn and its crazy ambulances, the few hours we had in NYC were spent in walking around the big apple and to realize there were actually very friendly people there, a thing we did not imagined before. Other than our easy going couch surfing host, there were always some helpful folks ready to give a hand to our two frenchies lost in those huge avenues. After the messy colorful streets of Chinatown, the Brooklyn Bridge or the East Village by night, finding our way back home with the subway that night ended up being a real adventure and we were glad to finally find our couch back in Brooklyn for a few hours.

The Dublin Experience

Premiere escale a Dublin ou nous emmene notre chere compagnie Ryan Air et ou nous avons ou dormir. Un peu sonnes par un reveil matinal et nous remettant de nos retrouvailles, nous voila flanant dans la capitale irlandaise avec O surprise un soleil radieu. Apres avoir fait le tour rapide des quelques rares monuments, nous faisons bien sur honneurs aux Pubs irlandais. Une mention particuliere a l atmosphere musicale de la ville avec l occasion d entendre de la musique live a l interieur et a l exterieur et souvent de qualite, que ce soit de la musique traditionnelle ou non. Un chanteur a la voix accrocheuses joue a la demande des classiques, une fille avec une sacree peche joue a gorge deplyee sous la pluie, nous en profitons! Nous avons meme l occasion de jouer nous meme brievement dans les rues dublinoises, ce qui n est pas rien! Apres ce bref intermede, nous reprenons nos sacs, direction New York!

First stop in Dublin where our Ryan air flight is bringing us and where we have a place to stay. Still a bit sleepy, we start walkin around in the Irish capital under a beautiful blue sky (how surprising for Ireland!). After doing a bit of sightseegin (not much to see), we end up checking out the world famous irish pubs (temple bar district). I was particularly impressed by the musical atmosphere of the city, both indoors and outdoors. A guy with an awesome voice plays some tunes asked by the audience, a girl sings out loud under the pouring rain, we enjoy the show! We even end up playin ourselves in the dublin streets, which is an honour! After this short stop, we take our backpacks back and head to New York city!
